Welcome the Year of the Pig

It's a few days before the new year ushers in. According to the Chinese calendar, 2007 is the year of the pig.

The news last night was very disturbing. Three successive fire incidents happened. One of them was due to firecracker explosion. Tsk, tsk. Filipinos never learned. Yearly, so many lives are lost, fingers were cut, properties burned into ashes because of those stupid firecrackers.

I am never fond of firecrackers ever since I was a kid. I keep wondering, what satisfaction do Filipinos get from burning hard earned money for a few minutes of loud popping noise during New Year's Eve?

There are certainly other ways of creating noise to welcome the New Year. I hope Filipinos would realize this.

Switching Your Old Blogger Account into the New Blogger Out of Beta

I tried to switch this ituloy angsulong blog from the old Blogger.com into the new Blogger.com which is now out of Beta.

To switch to the new blogger system, go to www.blogger.com and click on the new switch button. You will be asked to log in using your Google account. After logging in, Blogger will switch your old Blogger account into the new system.

However, when I tried switching this blog, the system had to switch the other blogs that is connected to my old account. Blogger said it will email me as soon as the switch is done.

Wow! That's all I can say, after several weeks of being snobbed by Yahoo, Marghil's ituloy angsulong blog just leap into the number one spot. How could that happen? From 100 to number 1 at Yahoo SERP for ituloy angsulong?
